Talvar Movie Review

"Talvar" is a movie based on real life incident, which is 2008's Noida double murder case. Film has Irrfan Khan as a main lead which obviously raises the expectations from the film. Film tries to cover everything from politics, the social mentality, not so intelligent police officers etc. The story goes on and on and the moment you think this case will get solved, it takes another nice twist. Film starts with a murder of a teenager girl whose mother and father were asleep when it happened. The case gets necessarily complicated because of negligence of the police officers. However, soon enough CBI has been called to take care of the case. That's when it gets interesting.

Meghna Gulzar who hasn't directed many films her career comes out as a shinning director with this film. Honestly, I didn't had much expectations from this film. Cinematography is nice with the real life scenario usage to give the movie a realistic feel. The makeup usage also seems to be less for the characters to look more pragmatic. The movie is not high on budget yet it scores on the plot and the screenplay. Side characters have also played their part so well that the film seems charismatic for the most part.We see potpourri of executions of the events based on what may have happened?

Sometime it looks that due to lack of evidence the case cannot be solved. But, in some situations it looks that evidence were either tampered or not use properly by the investigating officers.Ending of the movie shows the harsh reality of our society that how difficult it is to know the truth with so much of conspiracy. Overall, It's a nice execution of simplistic events.

Verdict:- Good

Ratings:- 3 / 5 Stars
