Homeland Season 1 Review

Homeland (TV Series)

Length:- 45-65 Min.

Review
Homeland is not a very old TV series, it started in late 2011. It's based on an Israeli TV Series named "Prisoners of War". It is an intense thriller, political drama which shows everything with tiny details. "Homeland" is also highly unpredictable. The story start with a war hero Nicolas Brody (Damian Lewis) who comes home from Iraq after 8 years.Carrie Mathison (Claire Danes) has a suspicion that Brody has turned into terrorist. There are many twist and turns in the story with every episode. It is really hard to tell what's gonna happen next. Even if you know what's gonna happen. It might happen in a different way then you think.

The real life scenario is used for executing day to day events.Everything looks so realistic that it seems to be happening now.Political actions and moments taken by CIA are so politically driven that Carrie who is trying to save something big from happening again cannot do much. Saul Berenson (Mandy Patinkin) who is Carrie's senior CIA officer helps her in understanding the scenario of what's happening on a broader scale.Even though terrorism is the driving force but it turns out be a much complicated affair.

The small clues leads to so much of the complicated stuff while never ending terrifying situation is the best part of this TV Show. The emotions and performances are played nicely to make everything believable.Claire Mathison does whatever is necessary to make her character better and better. Mandy even in the small parts does something which actually leaves a lasting impact. His character tackles everything in a mature and intellectual way.Sometimes I get a feeling that there won't be much ahead as the story is moving but we see so much more happening than what we thought.

Verdict:- Nice and Engaging

Ratings:- 7.6  /10
