Piku Movie Review

Piku (U/A)

Length:- 2 hrs. 15 min

Review
"Piku" is a different perceptive from the usual Bollywood film.It has a source of a natural genre and doesn't show anything hypothetical or unimaginable. It's a down to earth story about a common Bengali girl whose father is a little ill and behaves in a childish manner for the most part. Shoojit Sircar is an interestingly conceiving filmmaker who produces films which can create an impact on your life. He also makes films of different genre and yet he maintains his proficiency of creative, intellectual and fascinating cinema. both of his earlier films "Vicky Donor" and "Madras Cafe" were much appreciated among viewers and critics. Even though the films belong to different genre, we never felt that anyone of them is dragging or boring.

Background music is simplistic, conceiving and admiring. The plot is simple which may not go too far. But it delivers a good time which is usually missing from Bollywood. We see common men arguing, fighting and disagreeing with each other. All of it is a part of Indian culture of nowadays. "Piku" is one of those films which may not make you desperate to go to theater and watch it. rather it's one of those movies which exceeds your expectations while watching it. You might come of the theater with deep satisfaction. The dialogues are a part of day to day conversations. So, They are more generous and thought provoking. The characters are humble, admirable and typical as per their geographic location.

"Piku" is a not a larger than life story telling kind of film. It's movies attached and close to your heart. It has connections with your emotions towards your family and friends. It's about the thoughts which are a part of our daily life.Usually ending of these films are a little strange but that's not the case with movie. All the three actors are equally good. It was hard to tell which is better than other.I recommend that you give "Piku" a shot and you won't be disappointed.

Verdict:- Pretty Good

Ratings:- 3.5 / 5 Stars
