Gabbar is Back Movie Review

Gabbar is Back

Length:- 2 hrs. 11 min.

"Gabbar is Back" is an average entertainer which suffocates to overcome from it's generic attitude. The film does not any sort of problems like bad cinematography, music or any thing else. It's just nothing actually falls in place. Watching this film gives a feeling that it's pretty much like a 80's film. All the elements are in place for an old story executed in a new time. The surprise elements are almost nil.We don't have much to enjoy as the story doesn't explore a lot. Gabbar/Aditya (Akshay Kumar) is a common man who is on a mission to end corruption.

I must say this movie is more on the hero's side. Villian cannot be much to stop or humiliate hero. It's just he did something in past. Shruti Haasan played a nice girl but she has nothing remarkable to do the film. In this male dominating film female actress can hardly have a chance to do something. Kareena Kapoor is present in a cameo which isn't impressive at all.Her role should have been much longer then this. The only reason you may watch this film is Akshay Kumar, who looks good in the beard. Tries to make sense of everything he says.

Yet it's tiresome to watch this film. It may not be able to create a spark inside you against corruption, which it could have. The movie isn't entirely boring but it actually an average watch. It's remake of Tamil film "Ramana" which came in 2002. But I guess Bollywood has changed a lot in the last decade. So, This late remake makes no sense at all. Overall, I would you should not go for watching "Gabbar is Back" even if you are a Akshay fan.

Verdict:- Average

Ratings:-  2/ 5 Stars
