Whiplash Movie Review

Whiplash (R)

Length:- 1 hr. 46 min.

Review
"Whiplash" is a drama about a boy Andrew (Miles Teller) who wants to be best jazz player in the country.Terence Fletcher (J K Simmons) is a teacher who is harsh towards his student. Fletcher doesn't shy even a bit in abusive his student in-order to squeeze best out of them. Andrew is a dedicated student, he works day and night towards his improvement in performance. This film has a beauty with everything at correct place. It never deviates from the path even for a small amount of time.We have student and teacher relationship which is executed with a greater intensity than a couple relationship.

Somewhere I heard there is a woman behind very successful man. After watching "Whiplash" I found that behind every successful man there is a teacher.Andrew is brilliant from a boy who wants to start with jazz to a man who never stops playing in his best performance. The best scene of the movie was Andrew's last play where he exceeds the expectation of a teacher who is never satisfied by his student's performance. Simmons is extraordinary in playing a hardcore abusive teacher who always expects better than the best from his students.

"Whiplash" shows how much dedication is required to be extraordinary rather than just being successful.Just to get the tune right a student practices it till he bleeds.Still he doesn't stop he wants to get it better and better. We may not have too much in terms of plot but you feel it was never required. If you love watching movies."Whiplash" is the one which you cannot afford to miss.

Verdict:- Nice One

Ratings:- 4 / 5 Stars
