Bombay Velvet Movie Trailer Review

Anurag Kashyap has emerged as a gem for Bollywood in the recent few years. He was the man behind "Gang of Wasseypur" which was not only appreciated in India but in aboard as well.In the recent sometime his team has also come up with their own individual works which were unique, creative and appreciable.Since "Bombay Talkies" Karan Johar and Anurag Kashyap has been good friends. This is visible from the trailer of "Bombay Velvet" as well where Karan Johar is giving his first long length big screen presence. The sets of of "Bombay Velvet" are big and thrilling.

The story is set in 1960's in Mumbai. The sets of this film reminds of "Once Upon a Time in Mumbai" which was a film with somewhat similar stuff. But what's lagging here is the dialogues are not that memorable. Also, the trailer has so much to appreciate while it's not enough to give us an extraordinary experience. The make-up  of actors and the camerawork is lovable at the first sight. Yet it may not be up to the mark as it was expected to be.

Although it would be hard to predict how this film is gonna be just by this trailer. But, In my opinion it may turn out to be good at least for one time. The most enjoy part would the romantic indulgence between Anushka and Ranbir which is also included in the trailer for the most part. The background music looks good here as it matches the genre of the film. It's nice to see Karan Johar in the trailer especially because  of the way he is playing his character.

It is also assumed that the film is inspired from a book named "Mumbai Fables" by Gyan Prakash."Bombay Velvet" will be hitting the theaters on 15th May 2015.

Verdict:- Good

Ratings:- 3 / 5 Stars
