Neeraj Pandey is new talent to Bollywood. His last few movies were really appreciated everywhere. Most of Neeraj Pandey's work is focused on patriotism. From his first movie "A Wednesday" to "Baby" he touches religious issues as well as Homeland security and bomb blast with focus on terrorism. But you may not find "Baby" as good as his other movies. Still "Baby" involves a lot of thought process indulging India and Pakistan. The story is about a special team formed after 26/11 to stop terror attacks in the name of bomb blasts.
Ajay (Akshay Kumar) playing a lead guy guided by Feroze Ali Khan (Danny). Whenever I see Akshay in Neeraj's film I forget all the nonsense and absurd things he did in other movies."Baby" has too focused and serious genre. So, it misses the charm it which was there in Neeraj's other movies. There is hardly any comic scene. Also, the plot focuses more on a smaller level, although it switches locations but thoughtfully sticks to a lower level.Last time I loved Akshay's look only in "Special Chabbis". This time also he looks equally good.
"Baby" never loses the focuses and sticks the plot. Although in the last half an hour it becomes a little clumsy. Yet, it's thoroughly enjoyable drama with lesser suspense and twist. The plot may be predictable for the most part. But really a great mislead from its execution. There are few interesting sequences when Ajay encounters his wife played nicely by Madhurima Tuli. His wife's loves is amazing even though she known that he is lying. Overall, "Baby" is a watchable and enjoyable experience.
