Daawat-E-Ishq Movie Review

Daawat-E-Ishq (U)

Review
"Daawat-E-Ishq" is a romantic comedy movie by Faisal Habib who recently directed "Ishqzaade". "Ishqzaade" film was based on a realistic topic of Hindu-Muslim marriage. Here, we have old age Indian marriage related problem dowry.Faisal Habib has repeated Parineeti Chopra from his last film.""Daawat-E-Ishq" starts promisingly with a fresh idea of doing something better with the old topic.Yet it turns out to be uninteresting and boring after a while. We may not be interested in the events happens here or else we may feel its predictable and non-exciting. After watching the trailer itself I got the idea that there won't be anything extraordinary here.

I personally feel that most of the Bollywood films stick to the character part while they don't concentrate much on making the film better. Gulrez (Parineeti Chopra) is a smart , talented and modern Indian girl. She made it to the university in US but couldn't pursued just because she didn't the scholarship. Booji (Anupam Kher) is a typical Indian father worried about her daughter's marriage. He is ready to give the dowry but only upto a certain extent. Both girl and father agrees to take the dowry boys down by blackmailing them somehow. They start their journey from the boy Tariq (Aditya Roy Kapur) who turns out to the real lover. Gulrez is worried to hurt him.

Parineeti is energetic, charming and confident actor. She takes her character exactly where she was supposed to. Anupam Kher is different here then usual. He puts the necessary ingredient in the film needs from his side. Aditya Roy Kapur has kind of supporting role in the movie yet he was able to manage a noticeable appearance by his acting skills. Inspite of all the actors efforts the film could not rise above a certain level because of convoluted script. The drama here turns out to be boring and highly predictable after a while.
