The Fault In Our Stars Movie Review

The Fault In Our Stars

Length:- 2 hrs. 6 min.

"The Fault In Our Stars" is a beautiful story about a boy and a girl. Both of them are sick and dying in a short time. The girl is named Hazel, she is pretty, intelligent and a bit depressed. So, her mother forces her to join a support group. There she meets a boy named Augustus, he is outspoken, smiley and confident. Both boy and girl are suffering from some big disease.Hazel (Shailene Woodley) has thyroid cancer which is in fourth stage.Augustus Waters (Ansel Elgort), who has lost his leg while suffering from osteosarcoma. Shailene Woodley has played the central character in the film. She looks gorgeous and pretty realistic. The way she has played Hazel is quite impressive and exceptional. It hard to take eyes off from her because of her performance.

The story is pretty straight forward in "The Fault in Our Stars". The boy meets the girl and they start liking each other. Here, is the problem they both are going to die pretty soon. The way the movie is presented is awesome. The beautiful and auspicious locations especially the way Amsterdam is shown is pretty and adorable. Both the boy and the girl looks great together. The film is actually a sad story but it tries to cover it up with some interesting narrations and a little bit of comedy. The story focuses more on a girl named Hazel who has been diagnosed as a thyroid cancer patient at an age of 13.The girl was a really brave although a bit depressed at one point of time.

" The Fault in Our Stars" is based on the bestselling novel by John Green. The teenagers talk about virginity, emotions and lifespan makes this high octane emotional drama work.Hazel's parents Sam Trammell and Laura Dern, are both nice in short stretched roles. Her mother like every other mother is loving and caring. She is always worried about her child and want to see her happy. This young teenager's drama is made much more interesting then it can actually be. Hazel is obsessed with a novel called "An Imperial Affliction".She also gets a chance to meet her favorite novel writer.

I was actually curious to know how this film would end? Do both boy and girl die together or live together? What happens when she met her favorite novel writer?

Verdict:- Good

Ratings:-  3 / 5 Stars

The Fault In Our Stars Movie Official Trailer

  1. I have seen and heard so much about this movie but I just don't like watching movies where I know someone might die. I like stories with happy endings otehrwise whats the difference between fiction and reality?

    1. I agree that watching this kind of movies would be difficult meanwhile the movies are becoming more and more realistic. It's fact that there are people who are suffering and probably will die soon.I think they deserve attention and generosity from every common man.
