Length:- 2 hrs. 20 min.
Salman Khan movie are different usually they have some social message in it. This kind hearted actor acting and the way he carries himself is brilliant. There is some conventional thoughts in the film like its action, the masala and comedy ingredients are usually generic. When I saw the trailer of the film I was pumped up to watch this movie but after watching it for about 20-25 minutes my feeling about this film shattered. Heroes of Indian movies are absolutely capable of anything and everything. They can dance, beat the villians with ease, kind hearted genius and has some kind of pet dialogues. Here, the pet dialogue is just one word Kick. The hero is always looking for Kick which is something interesting. heroine are never really interested initially in our heroes while once they will develop some interest towards hero they can never loose it. There is nothing wrong with Salman khan and his acting still the film is pretty conventional, generic and convoluted.
Formation of the love story of Devi / Devil Lal (Salman Khan) and Shaina (Jacqueline Fernandez) takes more than half an hour. I was wondering that was this much stretch really required for the love story formation? The stardom of this actor Salman Khan looks much bigger than the film itself. The plot is the basic problem here it should have been much more precise and clear which its not. The unnecessary confusion created here makes it more and more difficult to enjoy. This love story is narrated by Shaina to a cop named Himanshu Tyagi(Randeep Hooda) who is on a mission to catch none other than Devil. There is something good about Randeep Hooda that he acts confidently and comfortably which brings a charm to his character. One thing which is so common about conventional Bollywood movies from Shahenshah to Kick that hero will have a dual character one is genius while the other one is kind of a looser. Both of these characters are known only to viewers. Although this pattern in true for Hollywood superhero movies as well.
Justify the same fact of dual characteristics of our hero we see the smart one named Devil in the royal locations of Poland. Bollywood has made numerous women oriented films in the last decade yet its obvious that still in the most films actress play a supporting cast. The actress known for fitness and looks in Bollywood Jacqueline Fernandez has role in some kind of lesser importance. The background music is one of the positive points of the film. Second half had a better execution especially the way movie is being presented is exaggerating. The best dialogue of the film remains as "mere baare mein itna mat sochna.dil mein aata hoon, samajh mein nahi".The action scenes are shot expensively in good locations. Overall, i would say that its just not that entertaining as it should have been.
Verdict:- Not too much fun
