Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania Movie Review

Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania (U/A)

:- 2 hrs. 14 min.

No doubt Humpty Sharma ki Dulhania has a good starting. Some of the god witty lines makes the film an engaging watch especially in the initial half an hour. Kavya (Alia Bhatt) and Humpty (Varun Dhawan) are two strangers who gets comfortable in talking to each other in just couple of meetings. As always happens in the Bollywood films they start loving each other. Now the obvious question is where this film will go from here?

Their marriage is actually the problem statement post interval. Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania is not way too different from the usual Bollywood romantic films. The thing which is unique here is the presentation i.e. actually the way how usual things are presented. Ashutosh Rana is in brilliant performance in the role of Kavya’s father. The second half of the movie is a bit boring. After a while it also becomes repetitive and cumbersome. It’s like everything is almost predictable but the way it’s being show is little different.

The main problem in front in Kavya and Humpty for their marriage is NRI boy Angad (Siddharth Shukla) who is flawless. Kavya and Humpty doesn’t have a solution for Angad’s perfection lieu they have love for each other. But their love isn’t enough to convince Kavya’s father for their marriage. The amazing chemistry between Alia Bhatt & Varun Dhawan is just few of the good things in the second half of the film.  Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania remains something less a good movie inpsite of some good moments present in the film.

Verdict: - Not so Good
