Length: - 1 hr. 57 min.
Blended is a story about separated male and female who goes for a causal blind date. Probably to handle their notorious kids in a much better way or may be some other obvious reasons. There blind date doesn’t work but this film is like which moves ahead and somewhere connects the dots. As about 20 minutes of the film passes, I honestly got confused that where is this film going. Does it has enough stuff to entertain us? Here is the answer not really. Is Adam Sandler able to save this movie? Answer remains the same not really.
One liners are filled a lot of adult contents sometimes they works out. After a while it gets repetitive as the similar kind of jokes are being passed on. This film is nowhere close to Adam Sandler’s other good classic comedy films. Blended is almost two hours long but in these two hours it makes you feel really exhausted. Like other Sandler’s movies the story is about two opposite genders who doesn’t fall in love with each other for a long time. Rather they ignore each other or may be less interested.
One scene I really liked was the kids using the honeymoon stuff. That scene was short and sweet. Drew Barrymore who already did successful films like first 50 dates with Adam Sandler is unable to create a last impression. Although she looks charming and acts fairly well. Film’s plot is the biggest problem because it’s boring, uninteresting and repetitive.
Africa is nicely shot, it might inspire you to plan a trip there. Kids shown in the movie doesn’t shy talking about vagina, bra etc. Blended does succeed in showing Africa nicely but it’s not a good entertainer. Overall, Blended is remains average film.
Verdict: - Boring
