Jacky Bhagnani who has been struggling from a long time in the industry. Jacky has done few films in the recent years mostly produced by his dad Vasu Bhagnani. In spite of the films being youth centric, raising good issues and Jacky’s endless effort to make his films better in every way. Still most of Jacky’s films were unsuccessful; here is another film about today’s youth –Youngistaan. Youngistaan concentrates more on the romantic side of its lead character Abhimanyu (Jacky Bhagnani). I am not sure whether there is a clause in Indian constituent that a son of Prime Minister (PM) can take his position. Well here in this film it seems he can. Abhimanyu takes charge of PM after death of his father played by Boman Irani.
Jacky Bhagnani’s simplistic and adorable approach is the only thing which gives Youngistaan a watchable experience. Neha Sharma has not much to do other than being supportive to her boyfriend. Director Syed Ahmed Afzal absolutely knows how to direct a scene if something needs improvement is the plot. PM’s character here is shown just a person who is most of time shown as using his power for simple events where it’s not required. Also, he is unable to bring any significant change in the system. Overall, Youngistaan deserved a better plot to be a good film.
