Total Siyappa Movie Review

Total Siyappa (U/A)

Length: - 1 hr. 48 min.

Total Siyappa is a movie which has raised expectations from its trailer but the film isn’t good as expected. It’s just based on one day event of Asha (Yami Gautam) introducing her love Aman (Ali Zafar) to her family. In starting Total Siyappa is on track and it does makes sense in what’s happening. As the story proceeds it starts getting boring; after intermission this film totally gets derailed. Post interval it’s just a collection of preposterous events which seems to be easy to understand just for morons. Yami Gautam looks gorgeous and has also played her character quiet comfortably.

Initial conversation since inception is nicely written but truly the plot needed so much more to be explored. Probably, it could have worked out better if the film could have had covered some more time period and a lot more sequences then the ones being delivered. Indians and Pakistani neighbors keep fighting here for non-sense reasons which is not so enjoyable. Especially if the expectations from the film was so high. Dump ass police officer makes it hard to understand that why is he doing what  he is doing. Ali Zafar’s performance has improved with time but still he needs some more improvement.

In some of the moments we are being shown that people behave in much more disgusting way in abroad then from their home country. This becomes hard to believe not sure about the reality. Total Siyappa just touches the topic on which it is based, if it could have utilized its full potential then the things could have worked out in a different way. Total Siyappa also lacks in creating any kind curiosity, most of the scenes can be easily predicted. Overall, Total Siyappa is a high potential average watch.
