The Wolverine Movie Review

The Wolverine (U/A)

Length: - 2 hrs. 7 min.

Review
The Wolverine which is another sequel in X-Men installment, after loving the character of Wolverine in the film X-Men: Origins Wolverine. Our expectations from the Wolverine were pumped up. The Wolverine moves at a slow pace and is boring at times. It never explores itself much but yet watchable.

Wolverine/Logan (Hugh Jackman) is the living his life like a caveman, who is consistently haunted by his beloved girlfriend Jean Grey (Famke Janssen) who is being killed by him in an accident. Logan moves to Tokyo to meet his old friend (Yashida) in his last moments of life. But, there he gets entangled in a mystery while saving life of Yashida’s granddaughter (Mariko).

Hugh Jackman is too good in his role & it’s hard to take eyes off. The action scene in the film are fast paced and enjoyable. The bullet train action scene is nicely shot and exciting to watch. Although the film never dumps down neither it comes up like a thriller. The story of the film is not much beyond what is being shown in the trailer.

Other than Hugh Jackman there are a few supporting character which deserves a mention Yukio (Rila Fukushima), who claims herself to be bodyguard of Wolverine. Mariko (Tao Okamoto) - a princess, who is the next to take over her grandfather’s business. Also, there are not much of X-Men in the film unlike other installments which makes it less realistic.

Verdict:-       One time Watchable
