Ghanchakkar is the second movie in which Emraan Hashmi & Vidya Balan has worked together. The film takes too long to set itself as a mystery but in the end reveals almost nothing. There is so much to appreciate here but all goes in vain because of its boring ending. Ghanchakkar starts off well and the robbery scene is funny and entertaining as well.
Sanjay Athray (Emraan Hashmi) lives with his wife Neetu (Vidya Balan) and wants to quit his career in crime. But sooner gets an offer which cannot be rejected. After committing robbery hides money somewhere & met with an accident in which he loses his memory. Other two guys who commits the crime with him & Sanjay himself tries to find out where, exactly the money is?
Vidya Balan’s character who tries to follow the latest fashion trends madly is entertain and superbly played by Vidya Balan. Just one surprising word ‘Hai’ is repeatedly funny and used many times. Emraan Hashmi is also good in his part but seems to be confused sometimes because of his mysterious character in the film.
Few dialogues are cheesy and really good. Some of them have sexual resemblance as well. Overall, I will say that the film is like nice gravy but has no bread to eat with it. It was expected from the film to give us a nice climax like Talaash or Kahaani but it fails to deliver it.
