Iron Man 3 Movie Review

Iron Man 3 (3 D )

Length: - 2 hrs. 10 Min

Review
Iron Man 3 is the third installment in one the most loves sci-fi movies of a superheroes’. Film never drags a bit and is consistently engaging with awesome visual effects and strong storyline. Iron Man 3 successfully delivers what it has to. Like every Hollywood movie it has both obvious and hidden problem which maintains your curiosity till the last minute. This part has less funny moments than other Iron Man movies because it is considering more serious business from the other installments.

Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) working all the time on his Iron Man suits , tries to operate them without wearing and fixing the functional errors. Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow) has been offered a collaboration to develop Extremis by Aldrich Killian (Guy Pearce) but she denies. By the same time Mandarin (Ben Kingsley) a terrorist leader attacks in the US and also at Stark’s house. Tony unable to save Pepper instead goes to some other place because of the problem with his suit. President and Pepper both are being kidnapped & James Rhodes (Don Cheadle) says that they can save only one of them. Rest is beautifully conveyed in the film.

Robert Downey Jr. looks good and acts well even better than the previous installments of the film. He seems to be solely holding the film for a quite a while. Iron Man 3 has all the ingredients in place. Ben Kingsley is also an attraction in the film playing the flip sides wonderfully. Iron Man 3 has fantastic action sequences and nice one-liners.
Overall, I will say Iron Man 3 is as good as the previous ones.

Verdict: -    Nice

Aashiqui 2 Movie Review

Aashiqui 2 (U)

Length:-  2 hrs 14 Min.

Review
Aashiqui 2 which is a sequel to music blockbuster Aashiqui, although has no relation to the previous film. Aashiqui 2 is full of awesome songs which is already been well received by the audiences. The film has a very boring first half with an easy story line which can be easily predicted if you saw the trailer of the film. Second half of the film is a bit better but it leaves you restless after sometime.

Aashiqui 2 is about a musical superstar Rahul Jaykar (Aditya Roy Kapoor) who is no more a superstar and surviving by singing his own old songs in small towns. During this he discovers a new voice Arohi (Shraddha Kapoor) and wants her to be even a bigger star than him. This is being executed and achieved in no time.  But Arohi’s success and Rahul’s downfall becomes a problem in their love life. Can Rahul overcome from his downfall? Can Arohi & Rahul be a happy couple? Is the part of the film.

Shraddha Kapoor looks charming and impresses by her performance while Aditya Roy Kapoor is just ok. Film is so dragging while tending towards the end that you almost loses interest in it. Drama becomes repetitive after a while in which Rahul is consistently drinking alcohol and creating scene wherever he is present. It’s the film’s music because of which you can somehow tolerate it.

Verdict: -   Not Good

Ratings: -    2/ 5 Stars

Ek Thi Daayan Movie Review

Ek Thi Daayan (U/A)

Length: - 2 hrs. 15 Min

Review
Ek Thi Daayan is engaging, much more thrilling than scary film. It’s starts well and is simply superb till the interval after that it’s a bit dragging in the starting of the second half although comes back on the track after a while. Climax of the Ek Thi Daayan is a bit stereotyped in the beginning but yet far more convincing than other horror movies.

The film is about Bobo (Emraan Hashmi), one of the India’s famous magicians who is constantly being haunted but is not believed by his girlfriend Tamara (Huma Qureshi) and thus, takes the help of his childhood psychiatrist. He comes to comes to known that his family is destroyed by a Daayan and she promises to come back. Bobo feels like nobody believing him, tries to forget about his past. Then suddenly he founds Lisa Dutt (Kalki Koechlin) in his life which he believes is a Daayan. What happens next is a part of the film.

Ek Thi Daayan appears to be a different drama attempt unlike other horror films. Emraan Hashmi’s performance is good while Konkona who will be seen on screen after a long time is just too good. Kalki’s role is short and she is ok in it. Huma needs some more experience to deliver a better performance.

Overall, I will say that Ek Thi Daayan is good movie to watch

Ratings: –     3/ 5 Stars

Verdict:-  Watch out for its uniqueness, a decent time pass film.

Commando Movie Review

Commando (U/A)

Length: - 2hrs

Review
Commando is an action movie and has a simple storyline but yet manages well to entertain. The action sequences in the movie look real and non-repetitive which goes well in a flow. Commando does have some turns in the story but most of the time they are predictable.

Movie is about a Commando officer Captain Karanvir Dogra (Vidyut Jamwal), who by an incident landed up in china. Chinese believe that he is an Indian spy, they treats him badly. He somehow manages to escape from there and entangles into saving Simrit (Pooja Chopra) from a local Don AK74 (Jaydeep Ahlawat) , who wants to marry her forcefully.

First part of Commando goes well but initial second part is a little dragging while ending is just acceptable. One liners in the film are good, engaging and creates an impact. Vidyut Jamwal last seen in the film Force has acted well. Jaydeep Ahlawat is also good in his part while Pooja Chopra is ok if not impressive.

Overall, I believe Commando is a decent one time watchable movie. If you liked the previous action movie Force, this one is better than that.

Ratings: -   3/5 Stars

Verdict:- Not disappointing one, one time watchable

Chashme Baddoor Movie Review

Chashme Baddoor (U/A)

Length: - 2hrs 11Min

Review
Chashme Baddoor which is a remake of Hindi movie by the same name came more than 30 years back. David Dhawan a well-known comedy film maker of the industry delivers genuine laughing moments but its being limited to the first half of the movie. In the second half of the film it seems that everything has become predictable and the jokes are also is also just a few. Chashme Baddoor is low on the storyline but still manages to entertain you in the first half.

Movie is about the three roomies Sid (Ali Zafar), Jai (Siddharth Narayan) & Omi (Divyendu Sharma) who lives in Goa. Omi & Jai are causal guy, who approaches a new neighbour girl Seema (Taapsee Paanu) and fails in getting her. While, Sid gets entangled with her luckily in a unusual way. When Omi & jai finds Sid and Seema making romance, they become jealous of it and want to tear them apart. What happens next can be seen in the film.

There is an interesting way in which David Dhawan tries to entertain which is by playing few lines of the songs of the previous movies which fits the situation. Performances are not too good. Ali Zafar seems struggling in most of the scenes to act better. Siddharth Narayan is just ok while Divyendu Sharma looks confident and manages to play his part well. As seen in the trailer, Rishi Kapoor’s character always moulds the old sayings in his own way with his own reason attached to it seems working partially if not fully. David Dhawan has also included one scene from the older version of the movie i.e. Chamko detergent powder isn’t that good but not bad either.

Overall, I believe that it’s a 2 star movie and half star bonus for the comedy in the film
.
Verdict: - Go for it only if you are big comedy movie fan otherwise
                it’s avoidable
