Vishwaroop Movie Review

Vishwaroop (U/A)

Length  2hrs. 29 Min

Vishwaroop is a movie about terrorism. Vishwanath (Kamal Haasan) is a kathak teacher in New York, who lives with his wife Nirupama (Pooja Kumar). Both of them are married to each other just to fulfil their needs of family pressure for marriage & green card respectively. Both of them quickly entangles into terror network headed by Omar (Rahul Bose).
Starting of the movie is good it gives you nice feeling of watching a spy thriller shot in good locations. But soon it jumps to Afghanistan, its then and there movie lose its track and drags a lot ,showing you just the attacks by US air force on Afghanistan and their counterpart also many other meetings and training but never creates an interest to watch it consistently. Its only sometime after interval that some of the sequences gets connected but they are few only. Rahul Bose and Kamal Haasan both have given nice performances but movie’s confusing way of storytelling leaves you frustrated.
Also, in the end there was an expectation to reveal the suspense but again after connecting few sequences and the telling the reason behind that it quickly gives you the tag that the rest can be seen in Vishwaroop 2.In total Vishwaroop can be said an attempt by Kamal Hassan which tries to convey much more than audiences can understand.

Ratings- 2.5/5 Stars
